January 17th, 2008, Kuala Lumpur – The Health and Happiness Festival ’09, held on the 21st and 22nd of March 2009, will be the first exhibition & conference in Asia having both allopathic medicine and alternative healing under one roof – offering Malaysians from all walks of life a balanced approach to Health and well-being (body, mind and spirit).
The Festival, under the Patronage of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom binti Abdullah of Pahang, is the first health and wellness family festival of its kind in Asia, combining exhibition, conferences and stage demonstrations. By promoting natural Health and Wellness, it also provides a platform for health professionals, practitioners and therapists to connect to each other and a wider public.
There will also be several well internationally renowned speakers attending the Festival, giving Health and Wellness talks and workshops, including Tan Sri Datuk Dr Hj Mohd Ismail Merican – Director General of Health, The “Greenest Man on Earth” - Matthias Gelber from Germany, Babak Sorkhpour from Iran, Ruth Eedy from Australia just to name a few!
The Health and Happiness Festival is providing an excellent opportunity for educating not only those already familiar with healthy and conscious lifestyles, but also a larger, perhaps less knowledgeable mainstream audience, all of who are searching for answers to preventing illness, maintaining and regaining optimum health with natural energy balancing modalities, tools and techniques, organic foods, holistic medicine, non toxic products and enrichment learning programs.
The festival will also focus on developing the positive philosophy of Happiness and address important safety and environmental issues to better protect our children and the planet.
PURPOSE OF HEALTH AND HAPPINESS FESTIVAL MARCH 2009
This is a fundraising event for the creation of an educational center for underprivileged and abused women where they will learn the skills of entrepreneurship in the Health and Wellness industry.
The concept of the “Wealth of Women” (W.O.W.) Centre (where wealth means: self love, self esteem, self respect, purpose, talent, passion, health, and knowledge), is the first center where selected Malaysian women would be sponsored to learn, experiment and practice not only entrepreneurship and business skills, different healing modalities, marketing, etc… but also will be guided and supported all the way to create their own business and partnership. The forte of the program is that the women would have access to an Australian recognized qualification as we have tied up with an Australian Vocational School.
